Dear Kelly,

Here are ten reasons I love you:

1. You go BIG or you don't go at all

2. You don't apologize for your off beat designs

3. You really know how to mix your metals

4. You aren't afraid to explore in un-charted design territories

5. Your use of color is inspiring

6. You were quoted saying ''What shoes are to some women, chairs are to me." (I agree, along with mirrors, and pillows, and rugs..etc.,etc.)

7. Your so intricately involved with all the many details in a room

8. Your eye is so fine tuned

9. You bring a fresh perspective to interior design

10. Everything you touch is a art in it's self

PS. I aspire to a higher aesthetic because of your work you are one of my design heroes

Inspiring Images of the day...

Love the offbeat humored table scape, so fresh

I can get down with some turquoise chairs now, my gosh this is eye candy deliciousness

There must always be a Parisian flair in my book of design rules, so I added this pic to top off all this lovely inspiration

Side note* Dear Mr. Banker good design comes with a lofty price tag..... oh....,what's that you say? My money tree out back? Why yes I suppose I haven't checked there today, whew, glad for money trees growing in the backyard....

Dreaming...

I have a slight love of anything french, so when I saw this fabric and later learned that it was a french designer by the name the Manual Canovas was I surprised?..no...delighted YES then I looked at the price it said 142 euros, to be honest I have no idea the current conversion rate but I think that means like expensive in US dollars, so just kidding right? Maybe I should go on deal or no deal and try to win some money cause....otherwise I'll dream on.  Ahhh, how I have dreamed and dreamed of becoming a textile designer.... some day, it's just something about patterns and florals that really get me excited, this being half the reason I love interior design as much as I do is do to great textiles! Hurray for good design, good french design

The Wedding is Over

And unfortunately today it feels as though I am over too, when all was said and done with my sister's wedding and my family went home I am stuck in bed for days exhausted and sick from all the pre-wedding/during wedding/and post wedding activities! Hosting is no easy job for two weeks! My house is a disaster and I feel drained with no energy to do anything about it (hence I am forced to live in a disaster while already feeling like a disaster) boo...........boo to sickness, boo to stress, boo to cluttered spaces...i will find my way through this in one piece though, rest assured.

Would Rock This

Today nothing is going right for me.......boo I feel like I got hit by a truck and so I have to resort to the good ole' imagination to take me into a land far far away from the present suckiness. Really I have no energy and may be on a stress burnout do to the time that is ticking away till my sister gets married, (what is wrong with this picture?) not even the bride and I'm sooooo stressed not to mention good old auntie flow is also making her way into town here shortly so I'm noting short of a basket case, good thing I'm a dreamer because when I look at this outfit it has my name written all over it, now if I could get the budget to match it we would be in business fo shiz. Esthetic Bliss

I must admit I am rather fond of anything that has to do with skin, and am always on the look out for the new "latest and greatest" in skin care products/gadgets, well I just found one of my new favorite tools for washing my face it is the Loreal 360 Cleanser that comes with a little diddy called a Scrublet, which is pure bliss and makes your skin feel so soft and wonderful! I think I spent like 10 minutes washing my face because I didn't want it to end, seriously, and for the price of like six bucks, AH steal. Funny story too because I wasn't even aware this existed until a very amazing person came around passing out a flyer for this thing, and I was intrigued so I thought I would go check it out...long story short YOU NEED ONE OF THESE, it is the Bomb. Go! Go! Go! Hurry and get one you won't be sorry!

In a perfect world

I would live here...

Hooray for online magazines

This is another one of those online magazines to hit the scene recently and I love it, free 99 in this economy sounds pretty good right? I was doing some daily browsing and I found yet another online magazine called Nesting Newbies. I found this amazing looking recipe as well, and to make it dairy free I will use my Earth Balance vegan butter, yum yum yum I can't wait!

Lovely...

Oh my goodness I'm so in love with these cute little frames. A while back my brother in law introduced me to a amazing clothing store called Zara, and indeed the clothes are rather fabulous and he is always dressed to impress when he wears their attire but listen to this, I just found out that there is a Zara Home, who knew! I'm so happy! Design makes me more happy than clothes I think, sorry Ike but I think I love Zara Home now more than Zara! Aren't these little frames A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E, I want them so bad! Go check it out!

Designing is taking....

So, here's the deal I know I'm sucking at posting right now but I have a progress update, this poster is one of my favs and there were only a select few to be produced, so I snatched one right up and it has been sitting unframed for over a year needed some love. So, progress people yes yours truly has finally decided to frame this bad boy and it turned out so beautifully that I want to put it on all the walls of my house, no really but I can't DECIDE, hello dilemma, don't wanna make a wrong decision now do I this is a HUGE deal I mean life or death because I really need a design pick me up at this point and something to go right before my parents see my disaster of a home and the credibility of my ability to design is destroyed. On a second note with design it's in the wrong that you learn the right and a certain amount of mistakes will actually make you a better designer in the end, and then there's the times when you accidentally make something look fabulous without trying and those are the best days!!! Love those days, but anyhooo now that I have gone off on this long tangent, I love my poster and I think I will FOR LIKE EVER!

Shabby Chic Especially for Allyse

I just love my friend Allyse and wanted to share a recent bedroom re-design that her husband did for her for Christmas that is awesome! She has a very Shabby Chic taste and her mother in law is also a fabulous designer that made this look happen for under $500. Wow, I love design but I love high style on a shoe-string budget kind of design most! See more fabulous pics of the before and after in detail here on her blog.

Deadlines slow the posts...

My sister is getting married in approximately 3 1/2 months and I need to get my house ready for hosting and all the family usual, except I am way behind I've been painting and decorating like a mad woman it's been my life 24/7 so the blog posting has gotten lax sorry...I hope to be up and running again full force as soon as I get some time and after my house is in order I will start blogging more seriously with tips, diy's, and other useful information as for now thank you for your patience and consideration.  Here's some design love to you all and a great picture that I would love to incorporate in my own home design by the way, cheers!!!!!!!

Thinking Fashion Today....

I adore this double finger ring, whats not to love? I already have a extreme fetish for rings why not have it cover two fingers instead of one?..hey the more the marrier in all things right?Currently I've got my eye on this one for $200 not too shabby. Hey fashion is sometimes financial pain peeps but I think this one is worth it in the end.
